Imagine we lived in a world that’s all of a sudden devoid of color, but where you’re given the option to have just one object keep its original hue. Which object (and which color) would that be?
A world of monochrome, a world of darkness on street corners, strong bright lights and creeping shadows. A world full of places to hide something or be hidden if it was your choice or to stand in clear contrast to the world and shine out. The only coloured is the harsh orange of a fire. The warm glow of a log burner or the unquestioning, undiscriminating retribution of a destructive fire waging its war on the world and leaving nothing but ash, soot and destruction in its wake. The fire is, the colour goes and the truth is told. In the end everything is simply returns to black and white.
