In response to The Daily Post’s writing prompt: “Sliced Bread.”
I don’t really ponder what is the best thing since sliced bread, partially because I do no think sliced bread is all that impressive and is a just an example of the increase in laziness in regards to food preparation. What I often muse is what did people say before they had sliced bread. Did people say, “that’s the best thing since bread”??? Or did people say “that is the best thinh until they invent sliced bread”?? Which would then poses the question how would they be aware of sliced bread if it didn’t exist? A pure pipe dream bought upon by a shortage of bread knives? A bizarre example of a future echo?
Yes I know being silly on that last bit but I still ponder what people said.
