Cheddar Gorge

In response to The Daily Post’s writing prompt: “Fearful Symmetry.”

I see the people behind the Daily Prompt are fans of I’m Sorry I Haven’t A Clue. A Radio 4 long running comedic antidote to panel games program which was a staple of my radio diet until a few series after the death of the original host Humphry Lyttelton and for me,  some of the spark went.

One of the rounds involved getting the teams to construct a sentance uttering one word each at a time and occasionally to make it more complicated by insisting all the words begin with the same letter. The name of this round was Cheddar Gorge, for obvious reasons.

Dennis’s uncle had always said the past never stays buried and he was right. Darkness always returns in the end, but Dennis knew a more comforting fact. Darkness always falls in the end…
