Stopover*

Do you have a favorite quote that you return to again and again? What is it, and why does it move you?

Oh I have lots of quotes I return to, a fair few stock phrases and jokes but most of all I have working title I use a fair bit.

The title is “Stopover” and I’ve used it at least four times for fiction pieces but it usually gets superceded by a more appropriate title as the story developes. The first occasion was for a stalker story featuring a Seamus who is hired to stop over and look after the victim, this was replaced by the more appropriate “Danse Macabre”.

The next time was for a country hoping story regarding a murdered member of a diplomatic visit much akin to an episode of Danger Man or the Man from UNCLE, I can’t recall the title which replaced it.

The third time was for a semi autobiographical tale about a reencounter with a former school teacher years later which leads to the teacher having a stopover at the former pupil’s home. This was replaced with the title PE Regraded.

The forth time well… it is a story in progress and all I am going to divulge is that it is chamber piece set on a Lighthouse.
