Oh where to begin?
Splitting with Mary Moo? I imagine that would probably would only be a temporary staying of events as I had a feeling the writing was on the wall anyway and the events of subsequent months would add to it…
Giving up Uni? Well I may have scraped through if I had stayed in but my heart was no longer in it. I don’t think it would have made much difference to my life had I stayed… maybe if I had specialised in Journalism it would be a different story, might have got a foot in to write articles for Jazz mags (no not that sort) and sci-fi mags.
I think my life I did take the road less travelled…
I should have become a journalist or writer. Instead I became a teacher. Now I’m retired, blogging is the time portal …

Ah well I wouldn’t have thought writing and teaching were mutually exclusive. I did think about teaching but I don’t think I would be allowed

Trouble is, teaching was so tiring I had no energy left to write. The best jobs for writing are boring and rather basic, according to a TV program I watched, one job was working on a weighbridge where you just sat around.

I can sympathise. I found doing theatre tiring when studying

I outlined a (i think) pretty good school mystery with a fun nod to the Robert Johnson legend
