Nervous for the Blues

My immediate thought when I saw the prompt Nervous was of a performance by the Legendary Blues player and composer Willie Dixon called Nervous and was a bonus performance on the DVD of Warming by the Devil’s Fire, a film in the Martin Scorsese Presents the Blues series.

Willie Dixon will probably be known for the tunes he composed which often became successes for others for example: Hoochie Coochie Man, I Just Wanna Make Love To You and The Little Red Rooster which were hits for Muddy Waters, Etta James and the Rolling Stones (not to mention Howlin’ Wolf for the latter).  Dixon was a staff writer for Leonard Chess’ famous Chess Records at one point and still had connections with the label after he had ended his contract.
