“Your always in such a hurry these days,” sighed Sarah. “You weren’t like this even when you were on the wards.”

“Things change,” replied Liz wistfully stirring her tea.

“It can’t be healthy for you being constantly on the go. You barely have any down time, it’ll come back  and bite you in the arse.”

“Well perhaps I should ask the world to stop getting into crisis so I can have a weekend off,” laughed Liz propping herself up against her headboard.

“It’s getting to the point that I only ever see you in a nightie,” Sarah hissed through gritted teeth. “You need to slow down.” Sarah sat down on her bed and looked at Liz properly. There were dark bags under her eyes and her skin was far from the light porcelain it usually was, not to mention the struggled sleep she’d been having.

“Its only for a few days more,” said Liz adjusting to a sitting position ready to lift herself out.

“Well make sure it is, otherwise I’ll get the doctor to put you on sick leave.” Sarah rolled back on her bed and watched Liz walk to the cupboard and let her nightie slip to the floor. She had to tell her, it was only fair.

“Liz there’s something I need to tell you,”

“Ok,” said Liz quickly on her underwear.

“Well since you have been busy-” she began but was interrupted by an alarm.

Liz quickly slipped on a dress, “Sorry Sarah. Tell me later, I must Dash.”
