When you leave a room, do you turn the lights off behind you or keep the lights on throughout your house most of the time?
It depends purely on how on return times to the room, if I am going to be returning to the room I’ve left (say to put the kettle on, syphon the python/drop the kids off at the pool, make a phone call, answer the door etc), otherwise I turn them off or leave a small lamp on.
What do you feel is the most enjoyable way to spend $500?
I feel I should, like George Melly, at least make a jokey personally tailored variation of Wine, Women and Song. So for me it would Dark Ale, Ladies and Jazz….
In seriousness I think it would be on a few books, a nice meal, some new records, films and books. In this age of digital downloads and streaming I am something of a dinosaur in that I do much prefer having physical copies of things… plus there despite the advances in home entertainment going to the Cinema still has its own unique feeling.
My recent haul:
Of course there’ll be a couple of ales in the mix, it’s still a bit to Summery to start indulging in Mild or Porter, but there a good range of Pale Ales and Golden Ales in circulation. Adnam’s Lighthouse (3.4% abv) is a nice golden ale we have on at the Plume at the moment and the Cock Hotel always has a good selection, recently Six Bells Spikey Blonde, Holden’s Golden Glow and Joule’s Blonde.
Complete this sentence: My favourite thing to do on my cell phone is…
…now this may be a shocking idea as what to do with your mobile phone. But my favourite thing to do with my phone is… to phone people. Next to that it would be messaging whether it be via text or Kik or Facebook Messenger. I use my tablet for streaming, watching videos and playing games etc..

Probably the cautionary story of the magic Haddock has been a degree of inspiration to me.
