If I were feeling in the mood to gently troll people I would say it begins to feel like Christmas when I see Hans Gruber fall off a skyscraper at the end of the ultimate Christmas movie: Die Hard. But I won’t…
I think as I grow older it never really seems to feel like Christmas anymore. This is despite, or perhaps because of, the up front pushy marketing. There are more and more festive stalls, markets and craft fairs cropping up every year like a spread of Bacteria and yet it never feels the same anymore. Gone are your brass bands cheerfully playing out Christmas Songs in the freezing cold, no more stalls roasting chestnuts on street corners.. it all seems a bit… Plastic and phoney nowadays. Perhaps the arrival of a new young lady on the scene will change all that.
