Been anywhere recently for the first time?

Can’t think of anywhere off the top of my head.

List three favourite book characters.

Sherlock Holmes

Sexton Blake

Willy Wonka

What is your favourite non alcoholic drink: hot or cold?

As I am a true Englishman, it should be unsurprising for you to learn that my favourite non-alcoholic drink.is a cup of tea! In terms of soft drinks I like Ginger Beer, Dandelion & Burdock and, less British, Root Beer.

What did you appreciate or what made you smile this past week? Feel free to use a quote, a photo, a story, or even a combination

I appreciated having some downtime where I could just chill and read my book with no disturbances.

      • Lust of whom though? After all Bram Stoker wrote the story based on a dream where he was surrounded by beautiful women and a lord walked in and said “leave him, he’s mine.” Curiously enough I doubt there is any real connection between Dracula and Vlad the Impaler as has been postulated… It is more likely Stoker just borrowed the man’s nickname. If you look up the early manuscripts you will find Dracula was originally named count Wampia and parts of the texts have physical alterations to Dracula

      • Curiously enough, the idea of Vampires being killed by sunlight doesn’t originate in Dracula (or the other vampire novels of the time), in fact Dracula (and the bloofer lady) spends an amount of time wondering around London during the day, but his powers are restricted. The sunlight thing comes from the 1922 silent horror movie Nosferartu: A Symphony of Horrors.
