….but the melody lingers on.
I feel that sums up my relationship with Sian, a sort-of ex-girlfriend who lived in Manchester. In fairness it was probably doomed before it started. I don’t believe that distance cannot work but her disability and health problems were a factor which limited things. Also the pub trade doesn’t lend itself for a complicated relationship set up. You could also say with were somewhat volatile with each other…. Think Sid and Ivy from Last of the Summer Wine….
But, it has made me aware of the how the world works, or rather doesn’t, for wheelchair users, especially those who need support to be lifted out their chairs. I notice things now, a lot more.
