The Artist

“Just hold it there,” said the Artist leveling up the prospective from his stand. He sharpened his pencil with a penknife and started to sketch.

“Do you think it will sell?” Asked his model.

“You are an exquisite thing my dear,” cooed the Artist. “This will be a valuable addition to any collection of beautiful things.”

“Never thought of myself as a thing before…”

“A necessity from my point of view to keep my eyes in and capture the truth as opposed to my version of the truth. True beauty should be translated as is. Flaws and all.”

“Thank you. I think.” The model stood still. Least he was thoughtful enough to keep the heating up.
