What is the one thing in life that you are most excited about right now? Why?
At the moment, it is a very silly thing but the fact that the weather has gone overcast and it has been raining steadily, not overly heavy, for the day so far. Aside from the weather being a deterrent to Covidiots to mingle (we could have done with the rain over the Bank Holiday weekends) it means that soil and vegetation is getting some much needed moisture.
Lately it has been very dry and as consequence some of the local (and not so local) beauty spots have been plagued by fire, I hope the majority are accidents as opposed to arson, and with it being so dry the fires have rapidly spread. The Wrekin has had a number of fires, as have a couple of places in Derbyshire, possibly bought on by poorly disposed of cigarette butts but also by portable barbecues and camp fires.
On a selfish note it should mean that working on the garden will be a lot less of a challenge with softer soil.
Also the rain will help with the drinking water issue that has affected some areas in the West Midlands- lockdown and the hot weather has caused a dramatic increase in demand.
