30 Day Book Challenge #Day 15

Welcome to the Sandman’s 30 Day Book Challenge.

As this is the start of a new week, here is a reminder of the set up.

Day 15: A Book That Makes You Cry Sad Tears

The guy with the heart of stone strikes again and…. Haven’t I already answered this on day 6?

Hmm anyway, I guess the nearest example is the sci-fi novel Flowers for Algernon by Daniel Keyes. It’s about a simpleton who has his intelligence enhanced by artificial means and he is given a pet mouse called Algernon to look after. The mouse was a test subject for the process and during the course of novel dies. Without giving spoliers, the title refers to one of the last things written in the book.
