Brits of a certain age may find themselves slightly reminded of the theme to the Barry Norman film show and with good reason; Oscar Peterson loosely based his tune on the Billy Taylor composition “I Wish I Knew How it Would Feel to Be Free” as a reflection on the continuing development of the Civil Rights movement.
