If the government offered to suspend all laws, and law enforcement for 24 hours, letting you (and everybody else) do whatever you wish… Would you be in favor of it, or not? (Credit for this question goes to Cyranny and her Daily Quickie Question)
So basically real life version of the Purge?
No, I would batten down the hatches and turn my home into a miniature fortress. Also, you would have to bare in mind the subsequent consequences from the events of the 24 hours. Could you trust family, friends, neighbours etc any more upon learning upon their actions in the said period.
What would be the creepiest thing you could say while passing a stranger on the street? (We’re suspending the whole social distancing and Covid involvement in this scenario)
Just making gutteral noises, that’d do the trick
As a child, what did you think would be great about being an adult, but isn’t as great as you thought it would be?
Not having to go to school. Not because I have any affection for my school days but the amount of time off you (theoretically) got.
What, in your opinion, has been blown way out of proportion?
People who rabbit on about nonsense like “can’t say anything without being people offended”, you see it all over the web, its ridiculous that people are getting het up because they are being held accountable for being arseholes.
A recent example being “every one is offended by everything” brigade getting het up over consumer advice before TV shows/on DVD covers/Netflix menus telling reasons for the classifications. Imagine getting so angry that people are being informed in advance about the elements of a show/film which may cause issues. Surely this plays into their beloved “don’t like it, don’t watch it” mentality.
This is the sort of thing the “wahh can’t say anything as everyone is offended by everything” brigade as currently frothing at the mouth over.

This is not being over sensitive or pandering to so called “woke” causes, it is being responsible and providing enough information for the consumer to make a choice.

Thanks, Sandman, for Sharing Your World! That whole guttural noise thing works too. I have a sibling who in his younger days LOVED walking past a stranger and doing that. He got the oddest looks, and one time a woman actually crossed the street with a terrified look on her face. I said “Oh he forgot his meds today”, which made her sprint away from us. LOL I agree wholeheartedly with that ‘don’t take/make offense’ thing. Nobody likes it, but when did society get so thin skinned?
Have a great week!

I think you have missed my point so I have expanded the last section with a few examples on top
